At Story Stills, we make…
Small Squares → Big Memories.
We got started with a realization at our house. We wanted our three boys to know the family members who shaped us, but, as working parents, sitting down to document family history felt overwhelming. And we ran out of picture space on our phones and on our walls.
Meanwhile, time kept passing. Then we noticed something—when we put an old photo of my grandpa on the fridge, stories came naturally. Our parents reminisced, our kids asked questions, and suddenly, those moments weren’t fading—they were living right in front of us.
That’s what inspired us to start making custom photo magnets.
The first ones were for family—like a magnet we made for Ashley’s sister, where a simple, unposed photo from a float trip sparked that soul-reaching smile that a good memory brings. And then we made some for the cross country coaches after we won the state championship. That podium selfie became a keepsake of a special season. Then we documented a girls' trip on a magnet and our friends said, “I need more of that in my life”.
Same, right?
Each tiny square we created wasn’t just a picture—it was a bridge to the memories we want to keep close.
Now, we create these magnets for all the families we can—because while you can’t frame and hang every photo, you can put quite a few on the fridge. And those are the ones you’ll see every day.
